Common questions
›How much smaller will my images get?
Photos typically shrink 60–90% at quality levels where the difference is invisible at normal viewing size. Screenshots and graphics compress less dramatically but still meaningfully.
›When should I compress an image?
Any upload with a size limit: email attachments, visa and job application portals, website images (smaller images load faster and rank better), or just reclaiming phone storage.
›Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser — the file is opened, processed, and saved on your own device. There is no upload in the code path, which you can verify by watching the network tab, or by loading the page and then switching to airplane mode: the tool still works.
