Edit PDF

Type, draw, highlight, and place images or a signature. Free — no signup, no watermarks.

Everything happens in your browser — your PDF is never uploaded.

How it works

  1. 1Open a PDF — it renders page by page right on your device, nothing is uploaded.
  2. 2Pick a tool: Text to type anywhere, Draw for freehand pen, Highlight to drag a colored box, Image to place a picture, or Signature to draw/type/upload one.
  3. 3Click or drag on a page to add it. Switch to Select to move, resize, or delete anything you've added; Undo removes your last change.
  4. 4Click Download PDF — your text, drawings, and images are drawn permanently into the pages.

Common questions

Can I edit the existing text in the PDF?

Not the original words — this tool adds a layer on top of the page (new text, drawings, highlights, images), which is how the vast majority of "edit PDF" needs are met: filling a form, signing, annotating, correcting. It does not retype the text that's already baked into the document. If you need to hide original content, use Redact PDF, which truly removes it.

Can I fill out a PDF form with this?

Yes — use the Text tool to click on any blank or line and type your answer, and the Signature tool to sign. It works on any PDF, including flat forms and scans that have no interactive fields. Support for clickable AcroForm fields (checkboxes and dropdowns) is planned.

Are my changes permanent once I download?

Yes. On download, everything you added is drawn directly into the page content, so it looks identical in every PDF viewer and can't be toggled off — it's a flattened result, not a set of removable comments.

Can I add my signature?

Yes — the Signature tool lets you draw it, type it in a script font, or upload an image of it, then place and size it anywhere. You can save it in your browser for reuse. Nothing about your signature is ever sent to a server.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser — the file is opened, processed, and saved on your own device. There is no upload in the code path, which you can verify by watching the network tab, or by loading the page and then switching to airplane mode: the tool still works.
