Common questions
›Can I watermark with my company logo?
Yes — switch the watermark type to Image, upload a PNG or JPG, and set its size and opacity. PNGs keep their transparency, which is what makes a logo stamp look right.
›Does a watermark protect my document from copying?
It deters and attributes, but it isn't security — a determined person can crop or edit it out. For actual protection, combine it with the Protect PDF tool, which blocks opening the file without a password.
›Will the watermark cover important content?
It's stamped at partial transparency — diagonal or horizontal, your choice — so the page underneath stays readable. The live preview shows exactly how it will look before you commit.
›Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser — the file is opened, processed, and saved on your own device. There is no upload in the code path, which you can verify by watching the network tab, or by loading the page and then switching to airplane mode: the tool still works.
