Common questions
›What's the difference between splitting and extracting pages?
Split cuts the whole document into multiple smaller PDFs (every range becomes a file). Extract pulls only the pages you name into one new PDF and ignores the rest. Use Split to break a document apart, Extract to grab a section.
›How do I write page ranges?
Comma-separated ranges: “1-5” is pages one through five, “8” is a single page, and “1-3, 7, 12-14” mixes both. Each range becomes a separate output file.
›Does splitting change the quality?
No — pages are copied losslessly into the new files, exactly as they were in the original.
›Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser — the file is opened, processed, and saved on your own device. There is no upload in the code path, which you can verify by watching the network tab, or by loading the page and then switching to airplane mode: the tool still works.
